Look through each lens
Red gets through, blue and green don't. That's why the red lens is for the night and the softer amber one for the day.

Why
You switch off the lightand your body doesn't follow.
You've spent hours on your phone, laptop or TV. You go to bed and your body is still in evening mode. It's not the brightness: it's the colour of the light.
01
Your body clock reads light
Some cells in the retina, sensitive mainly to blue light, tell your body clock whether it's day or night.
02
Screens and LEDs emit right there
At night they keep sending the daytime signal, and melatonin, the hormone that prepares sleep, arrives later.
03
The lens cuts that signal
It filters the part of the spectrum that weighs most in that signal and lets red through. You can still see and carry on with what you're doing.

Wellbeinn ecosystem
Do you sleep well?Check it.
Wellbeinn Band measures your sleep hour by hour. In the app, Your Internal Clock tells you your chronotype, your times to go to bed and get up, and how far you're drifting from them. With Wellbeinn Band, you can try the glasses for a few weeks and see what changes.
It depends on the time of day. Daylight is for daytime in front of screens and LED light. For the night, the two red models have the same lens: Nocturne is an acetate frame you can wear at dinner or out of the house; BlackOut is wraparound, with foam, and also blocks light coming in from the sides.
Can I drive with them?
Not with the red ones: neither by day nor by night, nor for anything that requires telling colours or light signals apart. With Daylight we don't recommend driving at night either: any tinted lens reduces the light that reaches you.
When should I wear them?
The red ones, one or two hours before bed and until you turn off the light. You don't have to switch anything off or change rooms. Daylight, during the day in front of screens.
Does everything look red?
Yes, with the red ones. The lens lets red through and blocks the rest, so the image is tinted and colours can't be told apart as usual. That's exactly what it's meant to do. With Daylight you'll notice a warm, much softer tone.
Do they really work?
That evening light delays melatonin is well measured. That filtering it helps you sleep is backed by promising but small studies: in one, people with insomnia who wore amber lenses for two hours before bed slept better than with unfiltered lenses (Shechter et al., 2018). They are not a treatment: if you sleep badly persistently, see a professional.
Can I wear them over my prescription glasses?
No. They are standard adult-size frames and BlackOut has foam all around. If you wear prescription lenses, ask your optician about a red or amber filter on your own lenses.
